Originally from South Africa - I moved to England in 2002 and shortly afterwards met my husband Mark, who is also South African! We have a gorgeous son together, Noah - who is not a huge fan of my camera, hopefully this will change as he gets older.
I have always loved taking photographs, and on my 18th birthday my parents bought me my first proper Camera, and SLR Canon 5D - which was a 35mm film camera! I said I would never go digital! Yes I do laugh about that statement now!
I have been passionate about photography since I received my first SLR camera for the 18th birthday.
I moved to England in 2002, and continued to take pictures each time I returned home. I became a finalist for the Wanderlust Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2005 after entering a image of two zebra's fighting. After achieving this award I realised I was more capable than I first thought.
I am predominantly self taught, but have Nina Mace Photography as my mentor and
have also completed advanced courses in Photography through the National College
of Photography in 2001 and an Advanced Diploma in Photography with the Shaw
Academy in 2015.
I love to create memories for families and capture those special moments that will
last a lifetime.
"Amy was incredibly professional but also made us feel very at ease throughout our photo shoot. We had wanted a selection of natural family photographs and we couldn't of wished for anything more.
It was certainly hard to decide which ones to select as all the photos were fantastic.
Thank you Amy for a great few hours having fun as a family whilst being photographed!"
